Promotion of Tourism

Activities that involve tourism may be divided mainly in the promotion (Sector for Development and Tourism Promotion) and in the hotel industry (Sector for Actions in the Hotel Industry and in the other Tourism Support Activities).

Commencement Notice Form for Travel Agencies and Branches

The summary circular to introduce the commencement notice for travel agencies and their branches has been issued through the Management Decree no. 144 of 29/04/2011, published in the Official Journal (BURC) no. 27 of 02/05/2011, in compliance with the resolutions of the Regional Executive Board no. 816/2010 and no. 95/2011.

Those who want to start a travel and tourism agency, a branch or those who want to amend their configuration, shall submit the relevant SCIA (commencement notice) along with its annexes to the Sportello Unico Attività Produttive (hereinafter called SUAP) of the Municipality where the activity will be performed or, in case SUAP does not exist in that Municipality, to the Chamber of Commerce responsible for that area.

• Licensing examination to practice as Technical Manager of Travel and Tourism Agency for whom the certificates are issued. (Licensing examinations are periodically carried out by the Provincial Boards for Tourism);

• Licensing Examinations to practice as tourist workers in compliance with the Regional Law no. 11/86.
