Drug surveillance

Tasks and Functions

• Management of planning activities concerning drug surveillance and education for an appropriate use of medications and procedures about quality assessment of the pharmaceutical expense.
• Planning and coordination of drug surveillance-related medications – Relations with internal and external users – Planning of surveillance activities about inspections of Local Health Units (ASL) at private pharmacies concerning prescriptions – Coordination, planning and drafting of procedures for quality assessment of the state-funded and hospital pharmaceutical expense, of direct distribution and adverse drug events – Participation in regional and inter-regional workgroups;
• Regional Collective Agreement to manage relations with public and private pharmacies – Management of innovative healthcare projects – Activities concerning the management of the pharmaceutical expense;
• National Collective Agreement for the management of relations with public and private pharmacies: management in the regional administration of related activities – Functions concerning planning and coordination of planning activities to rule and contain local and hospital Pharmaceutical expense – Monitoring Centre of the local and hospital pharmaceutical expense (direct distribution and the 1st course of therapy): collection, analysis and assessment of data for the preparation of resulting acts – Project “SANI.ARP.CAMPANIA ON LINE” for the online uploading of pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical indications of the Regional Healthcare System;
• Medical devices;
• Handling of information flows of the pharmaceutical expense of Local Health Units (ASL) – Activities related to the Budget of the Sector– Management of the agreement with the Istituto Poligrafico and the Zecca dello Stato;
• Drafting and Assessment of the main indicators of the state-funded and additional pharmaceutical expense. Monthly, quarterly and yearly report drafting. Monitoring, control and drafting of reports concerning payments to private pharmacies – Research, study and updating of all national and regional legal frameworks concerning drug surveillance and expense – Operational programmes for surveillance of the activities of the Local Health Units (ASL), concerning prescription control, in compliance with the Law no. 425/96 – Sector-related budget activities.
