Campania Innovazione and 56CUBE Together for Campania’s Start-Ups

Campania Innovazione, regional agency for the promotion of research and innovation, and 56CUBE, venture incubator of innovative digital start-ups in South Italy based in Fisciano, in the Province of Salerno, clinch a deal for cooperation in order to define and promote actions in the region for encouraging the culture of research and innovation in the entrepreneurial system of the region, for improving exclusive competencies, and facilitating the access to international markets and networks.

56CUBE is born within the certified incubator Digital Magics, listed in the market AIM Italia of Borsa Italiana (symbol: DM), with the objective of presenting the same model to South Italy, also thanks to the cooperation with the University of Salerno, with which it shares researchers, resources, and laboratories.

The cooperation started between Campania Innovazione and 56CUBE aims to detect the needs, the demands and the requests of Campania’s businesses, of young entrepreneurs, startuppers, professionals, talents and creative talents, in terms of youth policies, measures and events for the scouting of technological ideas, and the financial and training support for new digital businesses.

With the agreement, the incubator of Salerno joins the constituting Regional Network of incubators, coordinated by Campania Innovazione, to systematise experiences, know how and specific competencies of all those private and public realities which deal with support to business creation, supporting and supplying innovative services.

The structures, both traditional and emergent, operating in Campania to support innovation, birth and development of new digital businesses, are 25 (incubators, PST [Technological Services Programmes], fab labs, accelerators, service centres). More than 80 incubated firms, 39 non-incubated ones but combined 89 occupied spaces and 86 available, among incubators, scientific and technological parks.

"The agreement signed between Campania Innovazione and Salerno’s incubator 56Cube has the purpose of promoting integration between the research world and business world”, says Guido Trombetti, vice-president of Regione Campania responsible for Scientific Research.

“This is another puzzle piece – Trombetticontinues – within the regional strategy consisting in the fact that all organisations of the Research and Innovation system work in a network. The agreement aims to detect needs, demands and requests of both Campania’s SMEs and potential entrepreneurs, offering support in various ways”.

 “To encourage and spread the business culture and to promote entrepreneurial spirit are, from a strategic point of view, extremely important aspects. Thanks to the growing Regional Incubators Network, we systematise the offering of programmes and services for business creation”, declares Fulvio Martusciello, Regional Minster for Productive Activities of Regione Campania.

“In favour of start-ups we will use another fund of 150 million Euros made available by the Action and Cohesion Plan, in order to relaunch Campania’s productive system. In addition, there are 100 millions provided for in the resolution for expenditure acceleration mainly destined to business networks, start-ups and SMEs. We relaunch productivity and planning, thanks to the regional strategy supporting entrepreneurs, and valorisation of youth with good ideas”, Martusciello concludes.
