Registry of Tumours

To date the following registries are operating in Campania:
• Registry of Tumours of Asl NA3 Sud
• Registry of Tumours of Asl of Salerno
• Registry of Tumours of Caserta (active for one year)

The first two registries (Napoli3 Sud and Salerno) have been operating for over three years (and the historical registry of Asl Napoli3 Sud for over 15) and ensure scientifically valid data as confirmed by the International Agency on cancer research and the Italian Association of cancer registers.
The registry of cancer of the Asl of Caserta has been active for one year and has already started collecting data. Moreover, the establishment of the registries of cancer of the Asl of Benevento, Avellino, Napoli 1 Centro and Napoli2 Nord has already been decided.
The regional registry of childhood tumours is being entrusted to an Asl (there are between 200 and 220 yearly cases in Campania).
