“The tourism system in Campania: innovation, economy and future”: this is the name of the workshop sponsored by the Regional Administration for Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Regione Campania in cooperation with the Avellino Provincial Tourist Board (EPT) to be held tomorrow Friday 21 December at 17.00 at the Auditorium of the former Carcere Borbonico- entrance from Via Alfredo De Marsico in Avellino.

Vice president of the Regional Executive Board Giuseppe De Mita, responsible for Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Professor of the University of Naples “Federico II” Annunziata Berrino and artistic director of Giffoni Experience Claudio Gubitosi will attend the meeting, moderated by journalist of the Avellino newsroom of “Il Mattino” Generoso Picone.

This is the second territorial workshop sponsored by the Regional Administration. The aim of these meetings is to take stock of the activities, actions and implementations for the tourist and the cultural heritage promotion on the regional territory. Operators and representatives of the sectors will attend the event, too.

Mr Giuseppe De Mita stated. “This is the second workshop of a series of events that will involve the regional territory to supply an overall outlook of the actions already implemented and those activities still to be carried out over the next months in the sector of tourist development and cultural heritage promotion. After the event that took place in Salerno, the meeting is in Irpinia where, we have started a few months ago a tourist promotion and development plan, by involving local stakeholders, administrations and the operators of the sector”.

Vice president added: “A winning model as for the territorial promotion will be attested in Avellino, too. I am talking about the Giffoni model. Artistic Director Claudio Gubitosi is doubtlessly the conceiver and the soul of one of the most representative example of excellence made in Campania as for planning, creativity and innovation”.

Mr De Mita concluded: “We aim at constantly and successfully debating with sector-related operators and stakeholders. Workshops are a useful exchange occasion to make everyone continue to play his/her role, being well aware and consistent with the several local needs”.
