By Decree of President of Regione Stefano Caldoro, as Special Commissioner for Healthcare, the Registry of Childhood Tumours has been set up at the A.O.R.N. Santobono-Pausilipon, a national level paediatric hospital.

The network of tumour registries has been completed in Campania. To date, there are eight cancer regional registries, thanks to the measure taken last January (Decree no. 7 of 27-01-14) that gives to Santobono the management of the regional Registry of Childhood Tumours. In details: the “historical” registry of the Asl Na3 has been joined progressively by the registries of Salerno, Caserta, Avellino, Benevento, Asl Na1 and Asl Na2. Moreover, it is important to mention the coordination of the eight registries carried out by the Regional Epidemiological Observatory at the Directorate General for health protection and coordination of the regional healthcare system.
