In order to guarantee the consistency of the instruments for provincial territorial planning, for implementation of the Regional Law n. 16/2004, Regione Campania has approved, with the Regional Law n. 13/2008, the Regional Territorial Plan (PTR), in step with the objectives established by the national planning and the contents of the regional socio-economic planning.

Through the PTR, in compliance with the general objectives of promotion of sustainable development and protection of the region’s physical entirety and cultural identity, and in coordination with the protection directions already defined by the public administrations in charge and with the orientations included in the national sector plans in force, Regione Campania identifies:

• The planning schemes and the main orientations for the organisation of the regional territory, the strategies and the actions aimed at their realisation;
• Infrastructural systems and equipment of regional and supra-regional importance;
• The orientations and the criteria for the realisation of instruments for provincial territorial planning and for institutional cooperation.
